punk gaming in, becuase we have just what you need..
It's a Holiday Bonus Tour, courtesy of Game
Kastle.
That's right. It's Tour
5: Five Finger Free-for-all.
It'll be a 6-week tour that'll take us to the end of the year.
It starts the week of 11/10 with the official league day on Thu
11/13

That's
it man. Game over man. Game over! Game over. The Catfish came. The
Catfish saw. The Catfish conquered.
Jeff K is the champion of Little League Warhammer 40K 2008. That's
two 40k Little Leagues in a row. Or is it 3?
Anyways, it was great trying out the 40k 5th Edition rules. Game
Kastle has a preview copy of the new Space Marine codex and it looks
like the Emperor's finest will be getting lots of new toys.
+++THURSDAYS+++
League:
Warmachine/Hordes
The club is currently playing in Game
Kastle's
Warmachine Call to Arms League. More specifically, it's Tour
4: Caspia-Sul Incursions.
We're only in Week 1 of the 8-week league. The club meets on Thursday,
but Monday is also an official Warmachine night for Game Kastle.
Technically, you can play your game on any night of the week, but
you'll probably have a better chance of picking up a game on one
of those nights.
Rumor has it, Sean may be putting down his spikey, bile-thrall-filled
Cryx club of death and test out his soft and spongy Trollblood foam
bat. And what of Catfish, will he play another caster besides Kreoss?
Of course there's Alan and his sugar-powered, bare-metal shooty
Cygnar from hell. And the league has 2 Rons both playing Trollbloods.
Come by and check it all out.

The
Warmachine Call to Arms Tour 3 ended with Sean taking second place
and Marco finishing with top honors. They were a mere 4 points apart
after 8 tense weeks.
We'll be starting Tour 4 in mid-September.

Warhammer 40,000
40K Little League 2008 is midway through the league. But
there's plenty of league action left. If you play a league game
by August 28, you're automatically eligible to play in the playoffs.
Come down to Game
Kastle
and check it out.

Happy
Fourteenth of July everyone. Okay, so it ain't the same as the Fourth
of July--but it ain't bad either. I guess we've kinduva been slacking
over here at the Fighting Hellfish World Headquarters.
The site has been slow, but the club's been hoppin'.
Back in May, we finished our third Blood
Bowl League.
Sean, the Clubber, got himself another pelt as he took home the
Premiership once again. Albeit he did win using a different team
than last year. Congrtas to Sean and the Cheating Rats All Stars
Big props to Daniel for playing his first season. It was only a
couple months ago that he played his first game of Blood Bowl, and
he managed to take it all the way to the big game. And congrats
on graduating Jr. High. Class of 2008!
Currently, we're playing Warmachine. We're on the last week of an
8-week Warmachine Call-to-Arms league. It was a great league--our
first Warmachine league at Game Kastle--and we had a record turnout.
Four of us even built big ol' boats for terrain pieces. Avast, ye
land lubbers.
We'll
be returning to Warmachine when the Call-to-Arms league starts up
again in the fall with Tour 4: Caspia-Sul Incursions.
+++THURSDAYS+++
League:
Warhammer 40,000
Warhammer 40,000 5th is out and all bets are off. Early
reviews say that everything's changed. And the laser pointer reigns
supreme. We're all fired up with 40K Little League 2008 starting
on Thursday, July 24th.
There's no maximum army-point value during the league, but every
week will have a suggested army-point value. For the first week,
it's going to 750 points. You can see the rules here.
We'll start playing at 7:00. But feel free to show up any time after
that. The gaming room is open way past the store closing time.

Players
are making last minute preperations for
Kublacon 2008
on May 23-26 at the Hyatt Regency, Burlingame. Several members from
both our Northern and Southern California chapters will be attending.
Some will be competing in the Warhammer 40,000 tournament, while
others will be playing Warmachine, Hordes or just trolling the show
floor for some hot dice. Let us know what you're up to by making
a post on the boards.
There's also been some discussion on what we're going to do after
Blood Bowl. With Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 5th Edition due
on July 5, it looks like we'll be doing some open gaming. Stay tuned
for details.

Our
new home, Game
Kastle,
is stuffed to the gills with gaming goodness. This is probably one
of the best stocked gaming stores anywhere.
The gaming room is filled with great terrain and loads of tables.
And even though the store closes down at 10pm, the game room stays
open. It's a great place to play a game.
If you haven't stopped by, make sure you check
it out.

Happy
New Year! Well, it’s a little late for that. It’s even
a little late for Chinese New Year. But nonetheless, this is the
first addition to the ol’ site for oh-eight. And our first
leap day edition. Hope everyone is having a great new year.
Your year is about to be made a lot better with our first 2008 league.
That's right. Blood Bowl is back. The Fighting
Hellfish Blood Bowl Premier League: Season 3.
See below for more details.
So there hasn’t been much updating lately, but Fighting Hellfish
have been busy at Game Kastle on practically every day of the week.
By the way, Game
Kastle
is our new stomping grounds and they have a new location right next
to San Jose Airport on Coleman Avenue.
So exactly what have people been up to? Bryan
C,
Sean,
Alan, and Jeff
have been playing gobs of Warmachine and Hordes in the Call to Arms
league. Dan
R
and Ray
have been dabbling with AT-43.
Daniel, Chip
off the old block, Damian and
Jeff
have been playing Warhammer 40,000. Kevin
and Pat
have been painting. Bryan
L
and friends have been playing Babylon 5. I’m sure there’s
a lot more, but you get the gist. Dice are a rolling.
We’re planning 2 or 3 leagues this year, so keep your eyes
peeled.
+++THURSDAYS+++

Blood Bowl
Open Gaming: Warhammer 40,000; Warmachine
Thursday is our day of days. We’ve been playing on this day
for over 10 years. And a new locale shouldn’t change this.
So we’re bringing it back. And we’re bringing Blood
Bowl,
starting March 13. Bryan
C
will be commissioner for another fine season of BBPL. Get your teams
ready.
Until then, we’ll be doing open gaming. Bring some 40k. Bring
some Warmachine. Bring something. So see you next Thursday.
