OVERVIEW
(version 1.0)
(updated 14 July 2008)

Introduction

40k Little League 2008 starts small but quickly moves up in size every week, ending with a 1,750-point full-blown, all-in tournament. The league is built to welcome newcomers and challenge veterans alike.

General Rules
  • 40k Little League 2008 uses the Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 5th Edition Rules, released July 12.
  • Little league is divided into two parts, the regular season and the playoffs.
  • Your army must adhere to the army compostion rules for all regular season and playoff games

Regular Season Rules

  • You may change your army list between games. But before a game starts, your list must be written out and shown to your opponent
  • A Regular Season Week starts on Thu and ends the following Wed.
  • You may play up to 3 games during a Regular Season week.
  • Every Regular Season Week has a suggested army point level. However, you may play a larger game as long as the army-point value is a multiple of 250. You may not exceed the agreed upon size even by a single point.
  • The minimum size is a 750-point army.
  • To score league points, both players must be signed up for the league and the game must be played at Game Kastle
Playoffs Rules
  • The playoffs are a 1,750-point army Swiss-style tournament that lasts 4 games. The games will be played during the final 2 weeks of the league with 2 games per night.
  • All league players are eligible for the playoffs, regardless if you are in first or last place.
  • You will be using the same army list for the duration of the playoffs. At the start of the playoffs, you must have at least two copies of your army list--one list must be turned into the judge, the other is to show your opponent.
  • Your ranking during the Regular Season determines the pairings. Highest ranked will play the lowest ranked, second highest ranked will play the second lowest ranked, etc.
  • If there is an odd number of players, the highest ranked player will be awarded a “bye”.
