RULES
(version 1.0, updated Nov. 7, 2006)
“Go forth and gather your friends, this war
will be fought by all; it will not be won in a few giant battles
of thousands, but of a thousand battles of few.” -Lord
Githmar on guerrilla warfare
Overview
Welcome to the Fighting Hellfish: Warhammer Little League.
Here's your chance to fight multiple battles on a smaller level,
test out the newly released 7th Edition rules, get a taste of the
game for new players and finally turn that pile of dust-gathering
plastic and metal into a full-fledged, fighting army.
The games will start out small, and grow in minor increments every
week. At the end, we will be playing 500 points—which is only
1/4 the size of a standard Warhammer army.
League Rules:
-
Warhammer
Little League will use the Games Workshop Warhammer Fantasy
7th Edition Rules with a variation of the escalation league
in the Warhammer
Warbands Rules.
-
Official Warhammer Little League day is Thursdays, except for
Thanksgiving week, when it will be Tuesday. You can also play
makeup or extra league games on any day during the week.
-
League Schedule. Because of the holidays and player's unfamiliarity
with the rules, there are multiple bonus weeks:
-
Week
1-Thu 11/16: 200 pts
-
Week
2-Tue 11/21: 200 pts (Thanksgiving Bonus)
-

-
Week
4-Thu 12/7: 400 pts

-
Week

-
You
and your opponent can opt to play a larger starting size army
list for a league game.
-
You
may change your list anytime between games. But you must have
your list ready to show your opponent before seeing your opponent's
list.
-
Amended
Escalation Rules.
-
You
will not be awarded extra army-list points
for victories, draws or normal losses.
-
You
can choose to take extra army-list points if you were massacred
(the one who was on the receiving end of a massacre, not
the one who dealt it).
-
You
can choose to add 15 extra points to your army list for
every massacre received in the last 5 games played.
-
If
you choose to add extra points (because you were massacred)
to your army list, the highest result that you can achieve
for the game is a draw. Your opponent, however, can still
achieve a victory.
-
All
league games must be recorded on a league record sheet and placed
in the league drop box. Home games may also be submitted by
email.
-
League
fees are $5.
Playoff
Rules
-
All
league players are eligible for the league tournament. Regardless,
if you are in first or last place, you still get to go to the
playoffs.
-
You
must have two prepared, prewritten army lists for the start
of the playoffs. These are your lists for the duration of the
playoffs and finals. For each game, before seeing your opponent's
list, you must declare to your opponent which army list you
will be using.
-
Player's
ranking in the league determines the pairings. Highest ranked
will play the lowest ranked, second highest ranked will play
the second lowest ranked, etc.
-
If
there is an odd number of players, the highest ranked player
will be awarded a “bye”.
