Turn One
(from David H.)
Here Ye! Here Ye!
Harken to the tales of Conquest and Betrayal! The Kingdoms of Briternia
have unleashed the tempest of war! News from all corners of the
fair isle report an ever increasing number of warhosts in the field.
Rumors have it that peace talks have not gone well and plots are
hatching in shadowy corners to bring their neighbors to ruin as
each monarch in the land seeks the ancestral gems of power.
Last season the Dark Elves were suprised by an attack of Orcs and
Goblins which poured out of the Mountain passes, spurred on by the
lash of their cruel task-masters. A shadow warrior scout from the
nearby Elven Kingdom of Minuvialdor reported that the Orks were
seeking vengence for the death of an orc shaman whose skin had been
used to bind the pages of a magical tome by a Dark Elf Sorceress.
Once this book was gained by the Orcs, they slaughtered the Dark
Elves and burnt their town to the ground. Many wonder if their neighbors
do not have similar fates in mind for them. Track all the adventures
on the Turn
1 Map.
Turn Two
(from David H.)
The northern aggression between Orcs & Dark Elves continued
as both moved to gain ground to better their possition against each
other. The High Elf kingdoms expanded in the north as did the Human
kingdoms of Sigmar and Bretonnia. The beastmen launched an attack
upon a Vampire Necropolis which was saved by the timely aid of a
supporting force from the Tomb King. A report made by a chaos cultist
was intercepted and a fragment of it has spread across the lands
of Briternia:
"The mighty dragon ogres were shattering skeletons
across the battlefield, but it was not enough. The necromancers
combined their magics to reanimate the dead as fast as they were
brought down. The Tomb King's Living Statues broke the resolve of
the last beastmen which scattered back to their woods. The siege
of the Necropolis has been abandoned in failure."
Turn Three
(from David H.)
The Isle of Briternia was assaulted by more than armies this season,
as massive tidal waves struck the island on its southern coast.
Storms had hit the southern coast for several weeks, when they suddenly
unleashed powerful crashing waves, pulling the Dwarven kingdom of
Khairnwald beneath the waves.
Similarly, south east corner of the island, known as the pestilent
plains, and home to the Nurgle capital also sunk beneath the waves,
while the southern mountain range of rotting ridge crumbled in the
resulting earthquakes.
Empire engineers could only speculate as they are denied access
to these lands as they are bordering the lands of the cruel Strigoi
Overlord. A Minuvialdor Mage of the Celestial Circle blamed the
Druchii of the North, believing it to be another attempt by the
Dark Elves to sink the lands of the Elves as was done to the ancestors
of Minuvialdor, the Nagarythe of the Shadow Lands. No word of acceptace
or denial has come from the Chill Tower in the North.
As the kingdoms of Briternia wonder about the geological stability
of the Island, battle continues to rage. The Host of the Mummy Lord
has spread both east and west, assisted by their Vampire allies,
burning a Wood Elven city to the ground, and claiming a Besitgor
Cave-complex as their own.
Very few peoples of the Isle remain free a most have been forced
to bend the knee to the banner of one lord or another. As plots
continue, and Armies march, all in Briternia brace for the impact
of battle.
