WEEK 12-Big Game (3 April 03)
Well guys, the league is officially over! Thanks
everyone for participating! It was truly a blast to
have everyone aboard! Without further ado, here is
our Aragoth's final play of the week!
| Here is the Play of the Week!: |
Eric Baca's IG vs JP's Necron
In the battle of "Playing Nice!"
Round 1:
Necron Lord identifies a squad of Imperial
Guardsmen, and charges into combat! The Necron lord
fires 3 warning shots with his staff of light, and
accidentally glances a guardsman. The lord charges
into hand-to-hand, swinging his staff wildly, smacking
three guardsmen with his deadly power weapon!
Wounding none! The guardsmen laughs hysterically and
forgets to fight back.
Round 2:
Necron Lord again swings with his deadly
power weapon at the guardsmen, hitting three of them.
Since the lord was only kidding, he fails to wound or
kill any of them. Standing in amazement, the IG
brings out a table and decides that it is tea time.
Round 3:
The frustrated lord smashes up the tea table
knocks out one imperial soldier. The scared guardsmen
make a hasty retreat away from the Lord.
Round 4:
The soldiers rally, turn, fire, and charge
the Necron! Apparently, the soldiers missed the lord
and charged in for a hug, not hurting the metal
abomination. The lord quickly returns the affection
by returning the hug, careful not to hurt any of the
soft fleshy guardsmen.
Round 5:
Now that the niceties are over, the Lord
unleashes his can of whoop ass on the guardsmen and
finally manages to kill two of them! Still dying for
affection, the Imperial soldiers stays with the Necron
hoping for more hugs!
IN THE END:
The Necron Lord eventually beat off all
the guardsmen like a bad date. JP proclaims himself
the new Yahtzee champion! Former Yahtzee Champion,
Kevin Becker was not amused.

Hey guys, the Battle for Aragoth Prime is almost over, and both
Legions have evacuated from the planet (some more successfully than
others)!

"Yahtzee!"
Kevin's Imperial Guard versus Loo's Black Templar
Apparently, Kevin and Loo were playing different games. Loo
was busy playing Warhammer 40K, while Kevin was working hard
to master a game of Yahtzee. After the game was over Kevin
finally realized that rolling all those 1's was not a good
thing.

Great games last week! A couple of the players got hit by an ambush
and narrowly made it back to base with their supplies.

"Ambush the Ambushers"
Loo's Black Templar vs. Jeff K.'s Tau
With superior forces and numbers, the Tau army lies in wait
for the arrival of the Black Templar convoy. As the Templar
enters the killing field, the trap is sprung! The lead Rhino
goes up in smoke along with the Black Templar's Whirlwind.
The well-trained marines quickly bring order to chaos and
advance towards the Tau ambushers. It was an uphill battle,
but the Black Templars managed to fight off the ambush!

Supplies are running low and the battles are turning desperate.

Kevin's Imperial Guard vs. Dan R.'s Dark Angels:
In the "Battle of Butt Kickerís Anonymous."
Who will kick
more butt? Over 35 guardsmen or a dozen Dark Angel Space Marines?
Will the deadly Imperial flashlights prevail over the stat4
Space Marines?
Imperial Guardsmen managed to poke four Dark Angels in the
eye with their laserpointer, before the Angels opened up a
whooping can of HtH Kick Arse! Apparently, the can was shaken
vigorously and opened prematurely, and it exploded, pushing
over 35 Guardsmen over the table edge! The emperor has assigned
all Dark Angels to participate in Butt Kicker's Anonymous
after this incident.

"The Bearer of the Roasted Marshmallows."
SOB Seraphim and Fast Attack Rhino head towards the Dark
Angel Command squad and unleashes the fury of 3 flamers and
heavy flamer. FOOSH!
WINNER: Sisters of Battle
Both armies roasted lots of marshmallows, but Dark Angels
disintegrated a few too many marshmallows with the Plasma
Cannon.

Ork Basilisk shell disintegrates the Space Wolf Command Rhino!
BOOM!
Bottom of 1st:
SW Vindicator returns fire and annihilates the Ork
Battle Wagon filled with Orks! KABOOM!
WINNER: Space Wolf Vindicator by a nose!
The Vindicator wiped out over 400 pts worth of Orks
while the Ork bassie shell only managed to knock off
about 350 pts! Better luck next time!

Wolf Priest vs Black Templar Chaplain:
Round 1:
Wolf priest wounds the chaplain with his powersword
and survives the onslaught of the chaplain‚s
*powerfist* attacks. (Makes two invulnerable saves!)
Round 2:
Wolf Priest takes down the Chaplain by scoring 2
wounds on him. As the Chaplain goes down, he manages
to wound the Wolf Priest 3 times! Wolf Priest checks
the nicks in his armor and walks away from the battle
unscratched.
