AT KONEVGRAD 2003:
Saving Psyker Rudolph
Thursday
18 December 2003

the Fighting Hellfish 2003 Year-end 40k Finale.

The Imperial position has been fortified against
the Chaos incursion from Konevgrad Common.

in Konevgrad City on Imperial planet, Vitebsk. To the left
is Captain Morgan's encampment and to the right is Old Town.

Planetary
Governor, Timone Konev, tries to keep spirits high, but even
as the wartorn city of Konevgrad rebuilds
from bombardment and battle of years past, another clash ensues.

the Konevgrad Common and Konevgrad High Street is Captain
Morgan's encampment. 17 brave and foolish Adeptus Astartes
of the Ultramarines actually believe they have a chance to
repel the invaders.

Chaos (boo!) deploys in the Imperial park,
Konevgrad Common.

Loo surveys the landscape.

(Turn 1) Night fight dictates the first turn.
Attacker goes first and to no one surprise the Chaos Rhinos
surge ahead full throttle. Both sides, forgetting their night
vision goggles, fail to inflict any consequential damage.

(Turn 2) Chaos pushes forward, again.

(Turn 2) As night turns to day, the blue boys
finally see their foe--the full might of Jeff K's and Jason's
armies, as well as, units from Loo's army. Ultramarine and
Imperial Guard are hopelessly outnumbered and will need to
repel the bulk of the Chaos force.

(Turn 2) With Sean and Rob defending Old Town
in the background. The Imperials assemble their response to
the Chaos attempt to take the 3 Psyker hostages. "Nee-ner,
nee-ner, nee-ner."

(turn 3) Back at Captain Morgan's encampment,
the Imperials brace for attack.

(turn 3) With Old Town secure, the next objective
is clear. Stop those Rhinos.

(top 4) Chaos swarms the Imperial defenses.
The Imperials are heard mumbling, "game over man, game
over man, game over."

The gals of the Sororitas go for a walk in
the park.

(turn 4) Captain Morgan's encampment has been
overrun. Imperial sirens signal retreat. One of the Psykers
has been taken. All seems to be lost.

(Turn 4) But the Emperor's will is strong.
Even with overwhelming forces, the scant number of Imperial
forces at Captain Morgan's encampment push back. The last
of the Ultramarines, a hearty trio, manage to wrestle for
control of one of the three psykers.

(11:30pm) The battle draws to an end. For
once, the Imperials are victorious. In the end, the Imperials
hold two psykers and contest the third.

Jason with his dice bag, Roadkill, shows off
his Fighting Hellfish spirit. Happy Holidays everyone.
