Going up
1.
Winning up: a player may move up in ranking by winning a qualified
game against another player on the same tier or higher, if
a.
There is an open spot on any of the tiers above
b. Or, if a winning player causes a tier to be overcrowded,
which causes the Force Down rule to go into effect with the
player with the lowest record moving down (see below) (when
the winning player ties for lowest record, there is no movement)
2.
Pushed up: A player from a full tier may be pushed up
if another player moves into that tier.
a. A player can only be pushed up, if there is an open slot
on one of the tiers above (if the open slot is several tiers
above, then a domino-like effect occurs)
b. For an overcrowded tier, the player with the best win-loss
record is pushed up
c. If the player with the best record has already moved up that
week, the player with the next best record will be pushed up,
For ties, players will roll a d6
d. Pushes occur once per week (after the games on Thu)
e. Pushed up can not cause a Force Down
3.
A player can only move up one tier per week, irregardless of record
or anything else
Going
Down
1.
Players will move down a tier when losing a game against a player
on a lower tier
2.
Forced down: a player will be forced down to resolve
an overcrowded tier, if all the slots above are full. In which
case the player with the worst record will be forced down a level,
which in turn may cause a cascading effect that will force down
another player.
3.
If a player does not play a qualified game during a calendar month,
then that player will move down a tier.
4.
Tier 1 exception.
a.
The Tier 1 player cannot be pushed down without a Tier 1 Challenge
first.
b. Only Tier 2 players may issue a Tier 1 Challenge, if the
Tier 1 Player does not answer the Challenge within 2 weeks,
then the Tier 1 player is subject to the Forced Down rule.

Quo
